How It Works
See the workflow before you read each step
Watch the two minute walk through to see the upload, calibration, counting, and roll-up flow in one pass.
Open your workspace
Create an account or sign in, then move straight into the workspace where the job list and drawings live.
Create the job from the dashboard
Use the dashboard to add projects and keep active quoting work organized in one place.
Open a project and upload plans
Navigate into a project, upload one or more plans, and keep the drawing set ready for takeoff in one place.
Open a plan and set the calibration
Open any plan, choose two known points, and apply the scale before measuring.
Create one or more layers
Set up layers so different trades, areas, circuits, or scope packages stay grouped cleanly.
Measure and annotate the work
Carry out line, area, count, and auto count measurements. Count fixtures, measure runs, and add annotations directly on the plan.
Review the roll-up and export
Export the measurement roll-up as a bill of quantities for pricing. All saved measurements feed the roll-up table, and plans can be downloaded while current layers can be printed from the workspace.
Workspace controls
Quick reference for navigating and measuring inside the plan workspace once the job is ready for takeoff.
Zoom
Scroll the mouse wheel up to zoom in and down to zoom out.
Pan
Hold the middle mouse wheel button and drag to move around the plan.
Line measurement
Click once to start. Click each corner point along the path. Double-click to finish and record the total length.
Area measurement
Click once to start. Click each corner of the shape. Double-click to close and record the area.
Count
Click once on each item you want to count. Each click adds one to the total.
Auto count
Circle one instance of an item and the tool will find matching items across the plan. Lower the threshold to find more matches (less precise). Raise it to find fewer matches (more precise). Adjust until the result looks right.
Free-form lines and areas
By default, lines and areas snap to 90° and 45° angles. Hold Shift while clicking to draw at any angle.
Layers
Create layers to separate different categories of measurements. Keeping trades, circuits, or scope packages on their own layer stops the plan from becoming cluttered with annotations.
Legend & roll-up
Every measurement and count is automatically added to the plan legend as you work. Open the roll-up table to see all measurements across every layer and every plan combined into one total summary.
